While no reason has been mentioned for the break-up in the letter, the announcement will indeed sadden the fans across the world.

Augustines is an American indie rock band based in New York. The band comprises of three members-guitarist Billy McCarthy, multi-instrumentalist Eric Sanderson and drummer Rob Allen.

They are a band that’s popular for their heavy fan interaction. They have been seen performing on the floor with their fans. In fact, their love for the fans is quite evident in their letter, with the band expressing their gratitude towards the fans for staying with them for six years.

The band mentioned in the letter that the fans will get a chance to see their journey in Todd Howe’s film “RISE”. The movie will be released in 2017. The story behind the formation of the band and its journey has been quite fascination and is one that connected them really well with their fans.

The band was earlier named Pela but it got dissolved when McCarthy’s brother James committed suicide. Quite a lot of songs discuss James’ death. However, all the songs spread the message of hope and positivity by talking about the painful subjects.

The final tour will be in the fall and the band has asked the fans to be active on the “We Are Augustines” fan page to get all the updates regarding the tour.

The band made sure to announce their farewell with a positive note. What do you think? Tell us  @CelebMix .
