13 Reasons Why fans have yet another reason to believe season two is soon headed our way. The Netflix series that took the Internet by storm has already assembled a writers’ room to work out the plotline for Season 2, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The controversial series, executive produced by Selena Gomez, follows the book by Jay Asher about a teen who committed suicide, leaving behind explosive tapes explaining the 13 reasons why she did it. While it’s hard to see where a season two could be headed plot-wise—the book doesn’t have a sequel, so there’s no more content to base it on—it makes sense that Netflix would want to capitalize on the series’ popularity by bringing back the characters for another season.

According to stats from Twitter, 13 Reasons Why is the most tweeted-about show of 2017, with 12 million tweets and counting since it debuted on March 30. Surely some of the buzz came from executive producer Gomez, who is the most-followed celebrity on Instagram, but the series’ controversial plot points about suicide, bullying, and sexual assault have sparked conversations around social media as well.
We’re crossing our fingers that a second season gets the green light.
